Presenter's Background

Dr. Cindy-Lee Dennis is a Professor in Nursing and Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and holds a Canada Research Chair in Perinatal Community Health. She was recently appointed the Women's Health Research Chair at the University of Toronto and St. Michael's Hospital. She previously held the Shirley Brown Chair in Women’s Mental Health Research at Women’s College Research Institute. She is a member of the Fraser Mustard Institute for Human Development at the University of Toronto. She is the principal investigator of five large, multi-site studies related to the identification, prevention and treatment of postpartum depression and is a co-investigator on 21 other research projects concerning the care of pregnant and postpartum women. She has over $6 million in funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) as a principal investigator and has over 140 peer-reviewed publications. She has completed six Cochrane systematic reviews related to perinatal (antenatal and postpartum) depression and anxiety.
