Presenter's Background

Krista has been working in the Maternal infant child area for 18 years. She started her career at Trinity Health in Michigan as a Special Care Nursery Nurse, then moved to St Joseph’s Healthcare in Michigan in a high-risk birthing unit. From there she returned to Sarnia after 8 years and four children to work in the Maternal Infant Child Unit at Bluewater Health. While at BWH she has held multiple roles, including charge nurse, professional practice supervisor and now as manager. In all of these roles she has advocated for the unit as a positive change agent that supports best practice initiatives and quality care. As she states, “I strive to better myself and the programs I work in”.
